Committees ยป Project Full Employment
Project Full Employment provides moral support and practical assistance to Jews who are unemployed or under-employed. Recognizing that the highest form of tzedakah is providing people with a means to help themselves, Project Full Employment is helping people find new jobs.
We are continuing to work closely with Jewish Vocation Services (JVS) and their Jewish Employment Network (JEN). We are not having meetings at the moment but are publisizing meetings of JVS/JEN on the Peninsula. We encourage you to attend any of the meetings which interest you. All of meetings are free and open to the community. For more information, sign up for the ke-jobs email list.To join the email list, send an email to ke-jobs-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Please include your first and last name, and the name of your synagogue or other Jewish organization with which you are affiliated (such as JHTC, JCC, etc.).
JVS Scholarship Program:
JVS Scholarship Program is funded by the Newhouse Fund of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and the Peninsula. Through this grant, JVS is able to award grants to Jewish men and women for skills-based training focused on clearly defined vocational goals for employment opportunities in the Bay Area. Grants are limited to $1,800 and may be used for tuition payments, living expenses while attending a tuition-free program, learning supplies, and testing fees. JVS is now accepting applications for the December cycle.
