Committees ยป Project Full Employment

Project Full Employment provides moral support and practical assistance to Jews who are unemployed or under-employed. Recognizing that the highest form of tzedakah is providing people with a means to help themselves, Project Full Employment is helping people find new jobs.

We are continuing to work closely with Jewish Vocation Services (JVS) and their Jewish Employment Network (JEN). Meetings are coordinated with JVS/JEN to provide multiple meeting locations on the Peninsula. We encourage you to attend any of the meetings which interest you. All of meetings are free and open to the community. For more information, contact the Kol Emeth office.

Our plans are to host the Job Search Strategy Group each month.. Other meetings will be held at Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) Palo Alto, located at 200 Channing Street, Palo Alto and Peninsula JCC, 800 Foster City Blvd., Foster City.

To join the email list, send an email to ke-jobs-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Please include your first and last name, and the name of your synagogue or other Jewish organization with which you are affiliated (such as JHTC, New Bridges, etc.).

Calendar Of Events
Please RSVP for these meetings so we have enough handouts available. For Kol Emeth meetings, please RSVP to Betty Fellows at betty@bfellows.com. For all other meetings, please RSVP to Sarah Accomazzo at saccomazzo@jvs.org.

JVS Scholarship Program:
JVS Scholarship Program is funded by the Newhouse Fund of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma and the Peninsula. Through this grant, JVS is able to award grants to Jewish men and women for skills-based training focused on clearly defined vocational goals for employment opportunities in the Bay Area. Grants are limited to $1,800 and may be used for tuition payments, living expenses while attending a tuition-free program, learning supplies, and testing fees. JVS is now accepting applications for the December cycle.

For more information, please visit http://www.jvs.org/scholarships.html. To request an application, please contact Raza Handan at rhandan@jvs.org or at 415-782-6263.

If you are available to help coordinate speakers, please contact Betty Fellows in the Kol Emeth office or by email at betty@bfellows.com. Meetings have been cancelled due to lack of speakers. Your help is really needed and appreciated!
