Youth Education ยป Madrichim

our teen madrichim bring their youthful energy to teaching Kol Emeth's successful teen Madrichim program provides our teens with an opportunity to give back to the community while providing creative leadership for younger grades during the Saturday morning Kol Shabbat program.

Teen (9th-12th grade) Madrichim meet on Tuesday evenings as part of Kol High here at Kol Emeth. They plan weekly lessons for the 3rd-4th grade Kol Shabbat class, and meet on Shabbat morning to teach the class and lead parts of Junior Congregation. They also provide individual tutoring during Tefilah Society for students leading parts of the service and for those who are looking for a little extra help with specific prayers. Madrichim choose whether to be paid or to count their work toward community service hours. Contact Rabbi Laurie Matzkin if you are interested in applying.

Making Room for Shabbat Madrichim (8th grade and up) meet approximately one Friday per month to help lead activities during  Making Room for Shabbat, our young family Friday night service and dinner. The Wednesday afternoon preceding the event is usually prep time for these madrichim.
