Message from the President
President Collin Cohen and his family
Welcome to Congregation Kol Emeth, a vibrant and growing conservative synagogue in Palo Alto, California.
Led by our three dynamic rabbis, our congregation is all about fostering a sense of community and encouraging active involvement from all - whether you are a lifelong member, new to the area or just visiting for Shabbat or a holiday.
Our Saturday morning services are a great example of our commitment to egalitarian Judaism and community participation. You won't hear a cantor or choir; you'll hear the voices of members, visitors and children.
Our rabbis strive, above all else, to be accessible. You'll find them in their pajamas at havdallah, in their own backyards hosting potlucks and services, deep in the woods at our annual Women's retreat, and starring in highly professional (!) stage productions. You'll also find them at your side in times of sorrow and joy.
Tailored to each age group served, our award-winning religious school anchors our belief that Jewish learning is a lifelong process. That belief is carried through our extensive, award winning adult-learning opportunities, ranging from Sunday morning Talmud study to beginning Hebrew classes to seminars on how to prepare for holidays.
Most importantly, Kol Emeth welcomes all comers. While our roots are in traditional Conservative Judaism, we understand and embrace changes that make us a vibrant, contemporary home for people seeking to be part of today's Jewish community. We invite you to come experience Kol Emeth and look forward to welcoming you.
